POSSESSED

The story happened during my senior year in high school. In the philippines, there are lots of stories about ghouls, demons and all that. Of course it is a part of the elders' way of scaring little kids. Another story prevalent in the country is those of who were being possessed of malevolent spirits. at first, i was skeptical about it until it happened in front of me.

I remember, it was the 9th of the 9th 2004. It was raining hard and the wind is blowing like mad. Our class adviser was also the school"s representative of the marian youth movement (a religious organization in manila). I think it was during or after the date of birth of Mama Mary that's why our section was chosen to do the rounds of the Holy Rosary for the whole campus.

It was past 3 in the arvo when a friend of mine, Jane, called my attention. She told me that a girl in white was waving at her when we passed by the creepy auditorium on the 4th floor. I believed her because she is so sensitive with the paranormal world. In fact, seeing host and all that comes to her as part of her normal life.

Around half an hour past four, it was raining hard, wind is blowing, we were staring outside the window and my friends and i saw a figure on the other side of the river (our school is situated in front of pasig river which seperates the town of pandacan and sta.mesa. we are located in pandacan). My friend told me that it was a boy. he is also sensitive to the paranormal world. He asked us to stay away from the window because he was feeling that something creepy will happen. Then we decided to play charades. my friend Jane approached us and asked us if we wanna help a stray spirit. Some were skeptical, some were excited. We thought it was gonna take place on our room but jane said it was gonna be on the auditorium which gave me shivers but agreed anyhow.

There were six of us in the circle and probably three or four standing behind us. jane started to chant a prayer. After which i felt a presence going around the room. The wind blew inside the room though the windows are closed. After that, jane collapsed. We panicked and we almost ran but jonathan told us to keep our hands together and to not break the circle. After 3 mins, jane regained consciousness but it was like, she was not jane. Her eyes were bloodshot like she cried the whole straight week and took drugs and when she started to speak, her voice was so deep yet raspy. The kind of voice that you can hear in horror movies that gives you the creep.

Then we ask her if she was jane. She laughed. An eardrum breaking laugh. Indeed, it was a next-to-evil laugh. Then said that her name was rosario. We asked her why did she possess our friend. She said that she wanted to avenge her and her son's death. Jonathan tried to utter a prayer but for no reason, he screamed in pain. then rosario spoke and warned us that if we're gonna continue doing that, she's gonna kill our friend. some of our friends were crying. Then another friend of mine whispered that we should call our Filipino teacher. Sir Blas was a paranomal expert as well. before we managed to get out of the room, it was like a force was preventing us from going out of the room.

Finally, we managed to get out of the room and call Sir Blas. We told him what happened and he told us that he was already aware of the ghost in the auditorium and he got upset when he found out that we tried to call the ghost. He came with us inside the auditorium and put his hands on jane's forehead and chant some latin prayers. Jane, well, the ghost inside jane was screaming in excrutiating pain then afterwards, jane got unconscious. he brought jane to the faculty room but warned us not to go outside of the auditorium nor peek at the door. We said yes but i got conscious and after he left, i peeked at the door and to my horror, i saw a lot of entity huddling outside the door. probably, our teacher chanted some protective prayers before he headed for the faculty room. I was so scraed and i did not know what to do. I praying to GOD and wishing that the nightmare would end. Then afetr half an hour,our teacher came back and escorted us outside of the auditorium. I could still see the entities. Some of them were giving me a grin. Some were trying to reach us. When we got to the faculty, we saw jane and she was half conscious. Then she grabbed jonathan's arm and was screaming like mad. Rosario (the spirit who first possessed her) has taken over her body for the second time. my teacher tried to ring the parish priest to ask for some help. After 20 mins, the parish priest came with a glden crucifix, a bible and a bottle of holy water. after 1 friggin' hour of struggle, the spirit gave up.

The next day, after school, we went to jane's house to ask how was she doing. She said she couldnt remember anything until her ghost friend (i knew him because ive seen him a lot of times) told her what happened. She told us that the only thing that she could remember is that she woke up in a dark dense forest and that's it. Good enough, the ghost that took over her body was put to rest by the parish priest.
