Banff spring hotel Canada

Last summer (2011) me and my family went to banff spring hotel for summer. I have to say that the hotel was very nice but it had a bit of history in it. So at night we ran out of ice cubes in our fridge. So I had to go get some ice cubes at an ice dispenser or whatever you call it. So there was I taking some ice and putting it in my bucket (by the way it was around 1 or 2 in the morning and they were just drinking and im not doing anything but watching videos in my laptop) I heard some light footsteps and the lamp beside me was slightly flickering. I heard two little children laughing it sounded more like its coming from infront of me and i checked all the hallways near me and found nothing. So i got back to getting so ice I rushed a bit because I really felt like someone is watching me. I felt a poke on my shoulders and I turned around as fast i could and still no one is there. I grabbed the bucket that wasn't even full and just ran as fast as I could back to the room (room number 870 or 871 not sure but im sure its one of those). While I was running back to the room I noticed that theres a boarded door and it had number 873 on it. It made me think that they might have just boarded the door for construction reasons.

After that night i woke up at around 2:30pm and I got up and got ready for the day. When i was going to the washroom, the lights opened by itself and I was very sure that it was not one of those sensor lights that when you go in it opens up by itself so I just kept it cool and just acted that did not happen. I was really a bit creeped out because I am getting the feeling that I am being watched. I looked at the mirror and saw a small fingerprint on the mirror. Now i was getting sh*t scared.

Since we did not have anyone with a bigger finger than the one at the mirror (it looked like a thumbprint of a 3 year old or at least around that age). So I brushed my teeth fast and got my clothes and just left the room as fast as I can. I noticed room 873 again and I heard children and screaming from that room and they sounded like those two little kids that were laughing while I was grabbing some ice. I ran as fast as I could down the stairs (I did not want to wait for the elevator) and when I was running at hallway I saw a little girl she had some blood stains on her white dress and she laughed softly which made me run even faster. I got to the lobby and told an employee about it that was just coming up the stairs. He was so afraid to tell me anything but all I could get from him is that all the employees don't like to talk about the story behind the room and the paranormal events that are always happening in room 873 and around room 873. He told me to not worry because no one has ever been harmed by the spirits of the hotel. Some say that the employees that used to work here that passed away have came back and like to help people. Some say that there was a family that was murdered in room 873 and just decided to stay there.

So when I got back to my room around 8:00, I haven't got any disturbances or paranormal events. I  researched the room 873 at my laptop and did get lots of different stories and results. I dozed off at around 11:00pm and woke up at 9:00am since I had to check out at 3:00pm. All I can say is that, this was one of my scariest stories of mu life and this was the first time i shared it with anyone.
