Ang Mo Kio west garden

August 1, 2010 by guest

Me and boyfriend were hanging out at the Ang Mo Kio west garden at 8.30pm yesterday, doing what most couples would be doing at the park.

We were about to leave when we heard this sound which sounded like somebody running up the stairs, so we blankly stare in the staircase direction and waited to see who came up, but nobody was there. The frequency of the sound came back very soon and intensified. Immediately, I thought, at the back of my head, that these sounded like boots marching.

Boyfriend looked at me and I was already, at that time, going weak at the knees. I asked if we should leave now. We grab our things and walked away. I was very nervous because the sound kept coming closer and closer at the back. Boyfriend warn me and ask me to remain calm, cos he said "they" love it if they know you are scared. I really couldn't breathe properly because that freaking sound of marching boots kept up behind us. We saw another couple along the way, and all I could say under my breath was "good luck".

Later my boyfriend told me that because I was having day-of-the-month, these "things' love it. I don't understand why and said its dirty and why would they like.

I don't believe in such things at first, but now i believe and i don't want to go there anymore. Thank you!

Anyone know of the history of that garden? I know I used to hear stories about japanese soldier marching in Bishan park, but Ang Mo Kio...seems like a first?
