SIGHTINGS of an unidentified flying object (UFO) have been reported by guests and employees at a beach resort near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Harian Metro reported.
The tabloid even published a front-page blurb of the object, which had apparently caused much excitement and uneasiness among those staying at the Tuaran Beach Resort.
One of the guests, Jemas Dungil, 27, told the tabloid that a woman shouted when she saw a round blue flying object in the sky.
"We came out of a hall to see what the commotion was all about and I saw a round blue disc in the sky.

A four-year-old Russian boy with pneumonia died in the Primorye region during an exorcism after his parents told a Korean shaman to remove "evil spirits" from his body, multiple Russian news reports said Thursday.
The child, identified as Dmitry Kazachuk, stopped breathing during the ritual in the local village of Sergeyevka on Saturday, after the parents of the child asked So Dyavor and her Korean husband Kim Sende to perform a ritual to exorcise "evil spirits."

A Zimbabwean mother killed her baby son and sold one of his ears for $20 (£13) to a Mozambican witch doctor, police have confirmed.
Christine Hofisi, 21, from Chipinge near the Mozambique border, is accused of strangling the 18-month-old child before removing his left ear.
The body of the little boy, who was named by local papers as Edmore, was found bushes near to the woman's home by a neighbour who alerted the police.

A planet outside our solar system is orbiting another star, astronomers have finally confirmed.
The alien planet was first spotted in 2008 using Earth-based telescopes, making it the first direct photograph of a world beyond our own solar system.

Gamblers have been seen going to Pudu Jail to get stone fragments which they believe will help them win the lottery, Harian Metro reports.
A guard at the jail said they believed that stone fragments from the execution room (where hangings took place) could be used to get lucky numbers for the lottery and also to bet during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

DESPITE his humble and polite demeanour, Kesavan A. Arumugam is a man who can strike fear in the heart of the most-hardened prisoner. The reason - he was an executioner who spent the first month of his working career on attachment in Pudu Prison.
Although he spent much of his career in the Kajang Prison, he was recalled to Pudu Prison whenever there were executions. He said he had performed about four executions in Pudu before the department started to carry out the sentence in Kajang.
