POLTERGEIST

We thought we would highlight the word poltergeist, because people tend to be frightened of this type of ghost, and with good understanding because Hollywood often portrays poltergeists in a negative and harmful way…..in reality the true poltergeist is dramatic, but not monstrous like they make them out to be. Poltergeist is a German word the literally means “noisy ghost”. The cases of poltergeist activity is the most commonly reported of all ghost activity, and gives the ghost hunter the greatest potential for capturing paranormal activity. Although the poltergeist is noisy its tends to be very shy, and you rarely see it, but you do see or hear the activity it is performing, such as opening or closing doors, moving objects, and just general noise…..it can be playful, annoying and in some extreme cases dangerous. The attraction to the poltergeist is because it takes on almost human like characteristics, but most documented poltergeist haunting only last a very short time less then 6 months and longer cases have been known, but stray from the general rules.
